About this Tour

Binarri-awarra will provide experienced local indigenous presenters to guide participants through a programme that will develop understanding and appreciation for Aboriginal culture and history.

The course will be particularly useful for people wishing to stay for extended periods in the Fitzroy Valley by providing an understanding of the people's history and culture and how these things impact on their day to day lives.

This knowledge will help new employees and/or contractors to settle more easily and make friends quickly and enjoy their time in the Valley.

Binarri-awarra offers culturally enriching experiences led by highly respected elders from the Kimberley area in Western Australia, providing insights into the region's history, culture, and lived experiences.

With roots tracing back to colonial settlement, their presentations focus on preserving and sharing the rich Aboriginal heritage rather than dwelling on past atrocities.

Originally a tourism venture, Binarri-awarra has evolved into offering Cultural Awareness Training, aiming to bridge the gap between Aboriginal, First Nations People and mainstream Australia by fostering deeper understanding and engagement.

The course outline covers various subjects, emphasizing the importance of this knowledge in fostering cultural appreciation and enrichment for all involved.
